Love what you do and leave your mark!Work with the iconic Dan Murphy’s brand and a high performing team Combine your commercial experience and passion for Wine in this exciting opportunityAs a Category Manager, you inspire teams to connect everyone with a drinks experience they’ll love. Support the development and oversee the execution of the 6 - 18 month category strategy (inc product mix, pricing, marketing promotion strategy and distribution) for the Dan Murphy’s brand. Working closely with the Category team and cross functional teams you will manage the commercial and go to market proposition, whilst delivering on core business priorities.Sound good? Read on.Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:Lead 6–18 month category strategy, including product mix, pricing, promotions, and campaigns.Use data and insights to drive customer patterns, trends, and sustainable brand growth.Leverage industry knowledge and market research to shape promotional and marketing campaigns that hit KPI and sales targets.Partner with teams and suppliers to deliver products, campaigns, and promotions on time.Identify new product and service opportunities based on customer feedback and market trends.Work with Marketing & Loyalty to deliver go-to-market strategies, including content, compliance, and category-specific copywriting.Support store teams with world-class promotional execution, supply, and in-store marketing.Maintain a deep understanding of competitors, brands, consumers, and shopper trends.Negotiate and lead commercial discussions with internal and external stakeholders.Build strong partnerships with suppliers, agencies, and internal stakeholders.Regularly review performance with stakeholders using available data.Lead and inspire your team by modelling our Values and Ways of Working.Communicate business strategies to ensure team alignment, direction, and role clarity.Develop talent pipelines and future leaders through regular feedback, clear development plans, and succession planning.
